| AWARD CEREMONYThe Peabody Awards are formally presented in late May or early June at a luncheon in New York City. The 2008 ceremony will be held on June 16 in the grand ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria. In 2007, HBO and NBC sportscaster and talk-show host Bob Costas served as emcee. The 2006 ceremony, with satirist Jon Stewart as host, attracted nearly 1,000 guests. Other past hosts include Katie Couric, Walter Cronkite and Morley Safer. |
